IADS webinar with Professor Vito Latora
The Institute of Applied Data Science welcomes Professor Vito Latora, Professor of Applied Mathematics and Chair of Complex Systems at School of Mathematical Sciences, Queen Mary University of London.
Vito Latora is Professor of Applied Mathematics, Chair of Complex Systems and Head of the Complex Systems and Networks Unit at the School of Mathematical Sciences of Queen Mary University of London. He is also Fellow of the Alan Turing Institute for Data Science, and External Faculty of the Complexity Hub Vienna. He has expertise in complex systems, with particular focus on the analysis and modelling of complex networks. His current interests include time-varying and multiplex networks, and their applications to socio-economic systems and to the human brain. Vito's research has been supported by funding bodies including the EPSRC and the European Commission. In particular, he has been the scientific director of the EC-project LASAGNE (2012-15) involving 7 different European partners on the development of a novel mathematical framework for analysing and modelling dynamic multilayer networks.
