Queen Mary researcher receives prestigious IEEE ComSoc award

Congratulations to Dr Yuanwei Liu from the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London, for winning the 'Outstanding Young Researcher' award in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Communications Society (ComSoc) Europe, Middle East and Africa regional competition.
The award honours researchers who have been very active in the IEEE through ComSoc publication and conference activities over the last three years, for their promising research activities for the benefit of the Society.
Dr Liu's research interests include: Non-Orthogonal Multiple access (NOMA) for Beyond 5G and IoT networks, Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) Aided Multi-user Communications, Artificial Intelligence enabled Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Communications based OMA/NOMA, and Big Data and Machine Learning in Wireless Networks.
Dr Liu will receive a plaque and US$250 honorarium.
