Call for projects for Queen Mary Impact Fund is now OPEN!

12 January 2021

IADS researchers are now encouraged to apply for the Queen Mary Impact Fund programme.

Queen Mary Impact Fund programme is our new, harmonised approach to allocating Queen Mary internal impact funds. Queen Mary Impact Fund offers financial support for Queen Mary researchers carrying out impact-enabling projects with a focus on generating or accelerating commercial and non-commercial impact from their research, facilitating early-stage research commercialisation and knowledge exchange, and funding new, innovative and imaginative approaches to achieving and enabling knowledge exchange and impact.

A call for applications for the Queen Mary Impact Fund programme is now open.

The Queen Mary Impact Fund programme involves a single call, with a common Expression of Interest (EoI) stage. Applicants with successful EoIs will be asked to develop their full applications. Full applications will then be assessed by respective Application Review Panels. Only applications that clearly meet the scheme criteria will be shortlisted for the interview with respective Application Review Panels.

Up to twelve projects of £10k-£50k across all the categories will be funded through the Queen Mary Impact Fund January 2021 call. Directly incurred costs of projects are supported, other/indirect costs are covered by Schools.

Eligibility: Queen Mary researchers, PDRAs, final-year PhD students (please note final-year PhD students need to have a supervisor's approval and submit their thesis before starting work on Impact Fund projects).

The Queen Mary Impact Fund Expression of Interest form and Guidance notes for completing this Expression of Interest are attached below.

Expressions of Interest should be submitted to by 5PM, Monday, 1 February 2021.
