Interests

Prof Conrad Bessant and Prof Trevor Graham are co-investigators on a new project funded by the Alan Turing Institute.  The project is 'Automatic Learning In Cancer Research Using Artificial Intelligence'.

The aim of his research is to maximise the quantity and quality of new biological knowledge that can be derived from the large multivariate data sets generated by today’s high throughput bioanalytical methods. Conrad’s responsibility is to facilitate world-leading bench scientists and state-of-the-art computing experts to work closely together, and to help ensure that the life sciences initiative has the capability to make the very best use of latest developments in computer science and data analysis, particularly focussing on the integration of data from disparate sources such as genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, medical records and lifestyle data.
