 My research interests cover a broad spectrum of topics in both networks and systems. Specifically, they span network monitoring, networking systems performance characterisation and Software Defined Networking. Lately, I have been also focusing on understanding how better dataplane programmability can impact the design of networks as well as their services. I co-authored “Re-architecting datacenter networks and stacks for low latency and high performance”, awarded with the best paper at ACM SIGCOMM 2017, which proposes a new congestion control approach for datacenter networks that leverage dataplane programmability.

I also acted as joint investigator on multiple EU H2020 projects (ENDEAVOUR and SSICLOPS) and recently I am co-investigator on the UK EPSRC fundend EARL project (EP/P025374/1). The project seeks to pioneer SDN enabled measurement-based network management to enhance the Internet infrastructure. I am always looking for motivated students willing to collaborate with me
